Bungo, an eleven year old Dobermann, was suffering from "wobbler syndrome" which was slowing causing paralysis of her back legs. An MRI scan of her neck revealed compression of her spinal cord at C5/6 and C6/7. She underwent surgery to fuse the vertebrae and the surgeon used Veterinary Tissue Bank's Canine DBM made from donated bone to promote bony fusion.

At her eight week post-operative check-up, X-rays showed complete fusion of C5/6 and good progression of fusion at C6/7. Bungo is already more mobile and is seen here enjoying herself on the local beach.

Thanks to the generosity of tissue donation, Bungo can hopefully enjoy many more jaunts along the sandy beach!
